Thanksgiving Recovery

It was time to get the kids out of the house, so we headed to a local park. Being West Virginia, it still has all the awesomely dangerous playground toys that kids really love. The merry-go-round was a particular favorite.
We only had one kid knocked over. Not too bad!

Next dangerously awesome toy: the giant metal slide!
Megan & Elise

Elise and Tauriel had a great time in the wheelchair swing:

The big merry-go-round was a little traumatizing for Aaron.
This one was more his speed:

Elise and Tauriel were hilarious. They're only a few months apart and both have strong opinions. They were both very suspicious of each other, often exchanging glares or "No!"s across the table. At one point Elise spotting Tauriel's picture on the fridge from across the room and had to go glare at it. But the biggest point of contention was their adoration of Uncle Stephen. Elise didn't care that he was actually Tauriel's dad: she was sure he belonged to her:

Helping Uncle Stephen clear out the garden.
Fire is always a big hit:

Early Christmas from Grandpa & Grandma!

Aaron's turn!

Wild, naked Elise's turn!

And then it was time to head off on the next leg of our adventure!
