Elijah Turns One!

Since his actual birthday was on (Easter) Sunday, we had to start the celebration a day early with a trip to Burger King for some ice cream. Elijah LOVES BK ice cream and will throw all the fits if he sees someone eating a cone and not sharing with him.

For months now I knew that his birthday theme would be Baby Shark. This kid and the biting... He bites to show love (on the shoulder). He bites to show that he wants attention (on the leg or stomach). He bites when he's angry (whatever is closest to his mouth). And I swear he sometimes just bites because he's bored and wants to see what will happen. And so, Baby Shark cupcakes:

The official party dress code was simple--birthday suits only:

The cute birthday onesie from Grandma Cathy was also acceptable:

Catherine made him a baby shark blanket:

Aaron wrote him a book called "If I Were a Puppy" and made this blanket:

Birthday hat!
(and reading a birthday book--he LOVES books)

Time for cake!

The cousins and grandparents got to join in via FaceTime:

"Hooray!! I'm ONE!"

"Let me just rub a little icing right back here..."

Can't believe this little one is already a year old!
