June Fun

Both our phones are still filled with many of these from various children.

After experimenting with 17 different options, we finally got our projector set up to play D&D. The kids loved being able to actually move their minis, but they also loved the cool maps better than ones I drew on grid paper (big surprise). And so, we stuck a mirror in front of the projector, reversed the image and ta da! Awesome D&D maps!

Timmy still loves being photographed.

Close up view of the projected map.
And Catherine's hand.

Jon's ingenious mirror setup is hanging from the ceiling there.

We sent Uncle Jakey my old phone (which was a fun disaster--thanks post office).
Elise included this note for him about playing tag and dead people.

Like I said, phones FULL of these...
Also, 11 year old boys can be extremely obnoxious when they want to go home and you don't.

Green onions: the most versatile of weapons/food

Jon going full pioneer woman on our bathtub full of clothes.
Our laundry-stripping experiment is still a work in progress...

Catherine and ALL THE CAT PUZZLES

This year we decided to grow Swiss Chard in our garden.
We weren't expecting much.
We certainly weren't expecting a sink full of chard EVERY WEEK.
Green beans failed, butternut squash failed, but our chard is relentless.

The Mom Look
I don't think I've worn makeup since corona happened...

Just had to explain D&D to Adleigh and Breydon. We were amazed by Aaron's sword since our onions are struggling to be 6". Most of our garden went the way of yours. Maybe we should have planted swiss chard :) Those camera candids are the best!
