Seth is five-and-a-half now, so we decided it was high time he start figuring out how to keep himself dry at night. We put away the diaper (yes, we used diapers. Way cheaper than Pull-ups and serve the same purpose), bought some Good Nite pads (LIFESAVERS) and gave it a try.
It wasn't perfect, but he did manage to stay dry a few nights, which meant he got to cash in on the trip to the bouncy place we'd been promising for years if he stayed dry all night. He even got to bring his friend Gabe, which made it extra fun. And I was a sucker and paid for an overpriced can of orange soda and bottle of Sunny D, so it was extra super sugary fun.

I wish I could say that everything is great now and Seth is dry all night, but that would be a lie. This kid sleeps like the dead. Even with Jon waking him up between midnight and 1 am every night, he still consistently has accidents. Guess we'll try again in the fall and see if things are better!
(Our pediatrician doesn't worry about it until the kids are at least eight years old, but I wasn't sure if Seth was incapable or just lazy. Incapable it is!)

I hope you went back to the pull-ups! Fun "incentive" though.
We still struggle with Tucker wetting the bed. The thing that made the difference for him was us taking him to the bathroom when we go to bed around midnight...and it sounds like you're already doing that. Tucker still has an accident about once every two weeks or so. Hopefully they'll both grow out of it eventually...!
Max is six and a half and has JUST started staying dry consistently at night. He hated pullups ('they make my anus itch', he says) but we hated getting up in the middle of the night and doing laundry every single day more. We had a standing deal with him that if he stayed dry three nights in a row, he could wear underwear to bed, and that worked... sometimes. Then last week we ran out of pullups midweek, so we crossed our fingers and made sure he went to the bathroom before bed, and he's been dry for ten straight days now. Phew. But our doc said the same thing - he's not incontinent during the day, so he's just a deep sleeper, and he'll grow out of it. Spencer recalls similar problems himself until he was almost eight.
