Aaron Turns Two!

I first need to apologize to Aaron for the lamest birthday ever. The poor boy spent his entire birthday in the car. First, he got to take me to Urgent Care for a nasty cough/sinus infection. Then he took his sister to preschool. Then he had to go shopping. Picked sister up from preschool. Got woken up early from his nap to drive an hour to pick up Jon's new-to-us car (the Escort finally died, just a week after we'd paid $450 for a new exhaust system). Then the hour drive back home. 

Luckily Aaron seemed content to drive his toy cars on the (nasty) dealership floor. 

I promised him we would pretend that Friday was his birthday and would make it all up to him.

We were true to our word.

Friday we spent hours baking and decorating two delicious cakes just for Aaron.

Fine.

We grabbed two cakes on sale for $4 each at Walmart. Sorry, Aaron.

But we did put our hearts into decorating them for you:

She may not always show it, but she loves you very much.

Aaron was quite pleased with all his gifts, which mostly consisted of cars and Dum-Dum suckers (his two favorite things). He also very much enjoyed his birthday cards, especially the ones with cars and dogs (known as "uhffs") on them. Thank you to everyone who loves and spoils our little man!
