Summer Time!

After a long, miserable, wet & cold month, we FINALLY saw the sun! We went from 60 degrees and rain to 80 degrees and sunshine in one glorious day. We were so excited that we didn't even care about the humidity (or the fact that we had now missed our chance for nice spring days and gone straight to hot and miserable). We turned on the sprinkler and celebrated!

Aaron celebrated too, just in a way that didn't involve sprinklers:

And Elise enjoyed the shade. No sunshine for this pasty baby yet!

We also found several caterpillars, which are practically sacred objects at our house:

Aaron loved his caterpillar as gently as he knew how:

He also tried to share with Elise, who was very excited and not so gentle:

The slightly-maimed but still living caterpillar:

I would like to personally apologize to all the caterpillars my children have unwittingly loved to death. They really do try to be gentle...

Aaron will touch caterpillars but not wet in the sprinklers. That is definitely unique. That caterpillar is lucky it didn't go from Elise's hand to her mouth. Yum ;)
