We do Easter baskets/eggs on Saturday instead of Sunday to leave Sunday for the more spiritual (read: real) part of Easter. I have a friend who does the same thing and calls it "Bunny Day".
Thanks, Kellie! I'm stealing your name!
Easter baskets waiting
My mom sent Catherine's--it's nice and frilly and says "Princess" across the front.
Perfect.
Seth didn't even make it to the Easter baskets before he got distracted by the eggs that we'd hidden.
Catherine, holding her Easter ball.
This girl LOVES her balls!
Finally made it to the baskets.
Despite what it looks like in this picture, he was ecstatic about the cars.
"Look, Mommy! CARS!!!"
How he can still be so thrilled by something he has literally hundreds of is beyond me...
Catherine checking out her loot.
Found her Reese's bunny
Getting a small sample from Daddy
She was most displeased when Jon attempted to put the bunny away for later.
Needless to say, the Princess got her bunny.
She also got her egg full of fruit snacks, which was almost as good as the bunny.
Seth, playing with the blocks from Grandma "Easter Bunny" Cathy.
Happy Bunny Day!

So glad you share "Bunny Day" with us : )
"Bunny Day" - wish we had thought of that when you were little! At least we got the real and pretend separated - thank you Grandma Danice!
