Elijah wasted no time getting reacquainted with his cars.
(notice how they are carefully lined up all around the edges of the rug?)
Remember how Elijah was so sick with a high fever while we were travelling? Well, guess who started feeling kinda crappy a few days after we got home? Jonny Blood. Before he headed to bishopric meeting the next morning, he figured he should take a Covid test just in case. Well...
Positive!
No bishopric meeting for Jonny!
Based off the sheer number of small red-headed children on my lap,
I would say that several of them were also not feeling well:
The day after Jonny's test...
A positive Covid test for Aaron!
He wasn't nearly as excited as Jon.
Probably because he's a germaphobe and paranoid about Covid overall.
But both of them had light cases and no one else got it (although Elijah was probably Patient Zero).
So we did a lot of hanging out around the house:
Babies in boxes:
Police Officer Elijah was around to maintain order:
Mow Mow kept begging to be let inside:
(I swear this stupid thing was more work than a dog while we were gone.
So many times the neighbors had to go "unstick" him. Sigh.)
No photo, but a fun illustration of the difference between Aaron & Elise!
They were playing some game on the stairs that they had made up
that involved sliding down the stairs.
Aaron: "Hold on. I need to add more safety features."
Elise: "Nope. Going down!"
Yep. That's Aaron and Elise in a single exchange.
The Elsa bike is too small for Miss Elise:
Time to move on to the Kirsten bike
(next-door-neighbor handed it down to Catherine years ago):
How Catherine spent her summer:
Torturing lanternflies and recording their deaths.
For science.
(It has a record of lanternfly deaths, with the phrase "fun in a bottle."
She would trap them in an empty water bottle and then throw it all around).
Aaron made his own bow and arrow:
Elise went on a date to Amazing Glaze with Mom:
Working on her heart box:
Aaron & Sam got to play at Kilioh'u's house (with a pool and a giant tub of water beads):
It is GOOD to be home!!
