As we were mapping our drive from Cottonwood Heights to Elizabeth's house, we noticed it went right by Kennecott Copper Mine. Since Aaron is all about mining and Elijah is all about giant construction vehicles, we figured it would be worth the stop. We also found out our friend Emma was in Utah, so we dragged her along for all the fun.
Kenna and my mom were supposed to meet us there as well, but there was a flat tire on the drive there. Extra sad because that was our last chance to say goodbye before we headed home.

The mine ended up being kind of a disappointment. Everything was really far away and hard to really see how big it was. Plus it was hot, and we had to pay just to walk around and look at stuff by ourselves. But it was good to see Emma, so worth it I guess?
Then it was off to Elizabeth's house!
