Eight years old means Cub Scouts for Seth! One of his very first activities was the Space Derby. He and Jon (and, grudgingly, me) assembled and painted a rocket to race. He was very pleased with the bronze paint I found for him.
The bronze rocket
Aaron would have enjoyed the derby more if we would have let him run through the races.
He was disappointed to find his circle-running restricted.

(Thanks, Tracie for taking pictures! My arms were full of Aaron and Elise).
Removing it from the track after a race.
Cub Scouts also means lots of badges and awards.
Seth got an award for "Running with the Pack":
And one for participating in Cub Scout Day Camp:
Gabe, Jack, Thatcher & Seth.
All in the same grade at the same school.
Scary, isn't it?
Attending Cub Scouts.
Getting them all into place for this picture was hilariously difficult.
I may have had to physically move a few boys into place.
Crazy attending Cub Scouts.
Bless their leaders for their patience and future deafness.

Looks like Seth has a great group - and they all have similar camera poses :D
