Hiking & Hot Tub

In the afternoon we decided to go for a local hike. We found one not too far away and loaded everyone up (minus a few who were down with the stomach bug...sorry everyone).

True to all the Weirich hikes we've ever participated in, this one ended up being a bit more intense than we were expecting, but it was totally worth it! Even in the dead of winter it was beautiful, especially at the top:

And Elijah was done with photos, apparently.

I got to do a little trail running on the way down, which was super fun (I was trying to catch up with all the kids who had taken off on a run without any adults. They were totally fine, just a little bit too close to a patch of poison ivy for my taste). 

After dinner it was finally time for the hot tub!

And when the hot tub got boring, there was a fire pit as well:

I'm so glad my kids have the chance to make great memories with their cousins.
