Everyone knows that October is the best month. Still warm enough to enjoy being outside, but not dying of heat and humidity. Leaves start changing color, you can eat all the soups again without feeling weird, and, of course, Halloween! We love October in Maryland.
Elijah snuggling the toad Catherine found him in Sue's backyard.
Catherine found this tiny, injured bird.
The rest of us thought it was a goner, but not Catherine.
She gently carried it around until it decided it was better and flew off into a bush.
She was so thrilled to get to hold a bird!

Or, as Elise calls it, "Jennifer Conference."
Just a little boy with no pants and no real pets.
Only this robot lawn mower.
Sounds like some sad, dystopian future.
Catherine's eyeball, up close and personal.
My phone is FULL of this nonsense every month.
Seth started a D&D campaign for his siblings.
They were all quite enthusiastic for 2-3 weeks, then it fizzled out.
Like her sister before her, Elise writes her name on EVERYTHING.
Walls.
Laundry hampers.
Sheets.
Pajamas.
I do not understand this drive that my daughters have to tag everything.
Overall, a pretty great start to our October so far!
