Jon got Elijah ready for church this day.
Apparently 'Dwight Schrute' is a cool look right now.
And yes, I did fix the hair before church.
My standards are low, but they are still there!
Elijah was running around with this laundry basket on his head, like a turtle.
He would lay down with it over him and say, "I sleeping."
Wearing his sheriff's hat.
Usually Elise is involved when Elijah has dress up clothes on.
Jon decided it was time to start potty training Elijah.
I think he's crazy.
But here we go...
Sitting on the potty with an iPad.
A time-tested method of potty training.
A few Elijah stories I want to remember:
One evening Jon called down to the basement where Elijah was playing with Matchbox cars.
"Stinky! Come eat the food! Do you want bites?"
His response: "No, no, Daddy! Ah cars, cars, cars and cars!"
Who needs dinner when you have cars?
One morning I went in his bedroom to see if he was awake yet. I saw him sitting up in bed, making a growling sound. He looked over at me and said, in this deep, raspy voice: "Milk. The big one. Get it." Oookay then...
Elijah, one afternoon after Elise had started school: "Elise on the bus. She dead." That wasn't terrifying at all.
He's also started singing, which is adorable. His favorites are Happy Birthday ("Happy birfday you! Happy birfday you!"), the ABCs, and the "Pew Pew Song" (The Imperial March). The Pew Pew Song is the ONLY song Google is allowed to play. He'll immediately start screaming when it moves onto the next song. "NO!!! Pew Pew Song!!" I especially love that he can "sing" the whole melody: "dun, dun, dun, dun-da-dun, dun-da-dun!"
